Dalip Singh, more commonly known by his ring name The Great Khali, is an Indian professional wrestler and former powerlifter. Born on August 27, 1972, in a small village called Dhiraina, in Himachal Pradesh, India, Dalip Singh's incredible stature of 7 feet 1 inch tall made him an instantly recognizable figure in the world of professional wrestling. He gained international fame during his time in the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), where he became the first-ever Indian world champion.

Before finding success in the world of professional wrestling, Dalip Singh initially pursued a career in powerlifting. At the apex of his powerlifting career, he won the title of Mr. India in 1995, showcasing his impressive strength and physique. However, it was his chance meeting with WWE superstar The Undertaker in 2000 that would eventually change the course of his life.

Impressed by his sheer size, The Undertaker recommended Dalip Singh to WWE executives, who then invited him to the United States to undergo training and begin his professional wrestling career.
