David Busst, born on December 28, 1967, is a former English footballer hailing from the United Kingdom. On April 8, 1996, in a match against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Busst suffered a horrific career-ending injury in a collision with United players Denis Irwin and Brian McClair.
The injury was so severe that it required 26 operations, plastic surgery, and extensive rehabilitation to save his leg. Despite his retirement from professional football, Busst has remained involved in the sport. He became an assistant coach for the academy at Coventry City and played an integral role in the development of young players.
