With more andnmore games prioritizing graphics, do you think a second video game crash will happen?

More and more games are becoming soulless husks of pretty graphics but subpar gameplay, how long before the common consumer gets tired of this and a second crash happens?

I already wait for massive dips in price unless its a remaster. So much disapointment the past few years. Call of duty has been slowed down so no more annual releases. I see the crash happening but not for a few years. Too many people still drool over graphics alone

It's already happening, people are less willing to pay 80 bucks for the same game but prettier, but indie games are on the rise. For 35 bucks, I can buy 8 last-gen and indie games on my Switch or Steam. Personally, I have so many games, I don't need to buy another for the next two decades.

I don't think it will ever fully happen. There are too many new players every year. Then layer that with people who will complain and still buy it and those who don't know better. It'll still keep going.

Becuase there is always great graphic game with good story and fun gameplay there.
When game like COD2 came out I feel "Oh it's so realistic " but now when you look back, it's pretty cringey
