Christopher Boykin, popularly known as “Big Black,” was an American television personality, musician, and actor. He was born on January 13th, 1972, in Raleigh, Mississippi, and grew up in Wiggins, a small town in Mississippi. Boykin is best known for his appearance on the popular MTV show “Rob & Big,” where he starred alongside professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek. The show ran from 2006 to 2008 and followed the daily antics of the two best friends as they navigated life in Hollywood. Before becoming a television personality, Boykin enlisted in the US Navy and served for six years as a communications specialist on the USS Enterprise. He also worked as a security guard for various celebrities, including musicians Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige, before landing his breakthrough role on “Rob & Big.” Boykin’s time on the show earned him a devoted fanbase and made him a beloved figure on MTV.
