Avoidant attachment - fixable?
Hi, I’m with an ISFP 6w7 who has an avoidant attachment style which creates a divide between us and struggle to progress our relationship. His fears of rejection and commitment cause him to reject love and avoid commitment. However, he is acutely aware of this and says he wants to get professional help to fix his attachment style. So I’m here asking… Has anyone had personal experience healing their avoidant attachment (trauma?) Has anyone been with someone who has healed their avoidant attachment (trauma?) Can an avoidant ever actually commit?(besut)

I dated people with avoidant attachment style. Some even went to therapy, trying to work on that. Unfortunately it never happened to me to see this attachment style "fixed". Even when a person wants to change, it might take years and no one can guarantee the result. But of course everything depends on motivation (in my humble opinion). Trust your gut and and see if his words are followed by real action.🫶
