Sometimes I lay in bed, staring at my ceiling. I wonder if we zoom out of our own bodies, our own life, our own little corner of the world almost like a third view of our life, aerial mode.. i step out of my world, and im looking right at me.. and i keep floating up and suddenly i see my home from a bird's eye view. How would it look? My home tucked away in the mountains, soft glow of light and life seeping tjrough the windows.. and i zoom out again, this time i see my neighborhood.. a light in a neighbor's home.. i wonder... what would i see? At the same time i lay there, next to my son, holding in his essence perhaps my neighbor is lonely, drinking himself to sleep... and i zoom out again, this time my town.. and as i lay there, feeling my life, my neighbor drinking himself to sleep, another window opens up.. a family at a dinner tavle laughing, loving... i zoom into another home, another world of its own.. maybe a kid who cant wake up their parents cried alone.. we keep zooming out, zooming in to another home.. an elderly woman, all alone, petting her cat... we zoom out, another town... parents arguing while a child watches behind a door... zoom out... a man making a tent to sleep in next to the highway... zoom out... a father getting ready to go to work while everyone sleeps.. zoom out.. a family sleeping in their car... zoom out.. another family reading and dancing with their children... zoom out.. and unfaithful spouse savoring forbidden lust somewhere hidden.. zoom out.. someone just proposed... someone passed... someone is born.. someone is dancing.. someone is hurting.. someone is crying.. someone is laughing.. All of this chaotic peaceful noise... all of it happening at the same time.. different worlds that intertwine with mine.. different lives yet all the same.. a melanchonic dance that never ends... And i lay here, next to my son, taking in the essence of him.. and the world outside our home continues, never stopping, never ending.. The sun will rise tomorrow.. some of us will be lucky to rise with it, though we may not see it as such.. for others, tomorrow will not come and a tiny world will fade, and another be reborn.. Never ending, never quiet..
