In addition to her theatrical work, she also appeared in various television programs and films during the 1950s and 60s.
One of her best-known television roles was her portrayal of Marie Correlli, the manipulative and scheming wife of Dr. Steve Hardy on the popular soap opera, "General Hospital." Von Furstenberg played the role for several years, becoming a fan favorite with her portrayal of the complex and intriguing character. She also had recurring roles in other popular television shows such as "The Defenders," and "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour."
In addition to her acting career, von Furstenberg was also recognized for her philanthropy work. She was a supporter of several charitable causes, including The Actors Fund and The Good Shepherd Services in New York City. Von Furstenberg passed away on April 21, 2020, at the age of 88. Her legacy as a talented actress and devoted humanitarian continues to live on today.
