When we are well with our own company it is difficult to feel alone. Solitude is different from loneliness. But the human being at some point needs to be with someone, but it is possible to do well anyway. Do something you like, visit family members, practice outdoor activities, try to connect with yourself, so your relationships with other people will be much better.

I think for a lot of us, loneliness is more about disconnection than being alone. I can be alone, but to feel disconnected/lacking in being understood, is the actual feeling of loneliness for me. I try to build on the connections with people that remind me that there are people I can communicate with that get it. I introspect and reflect more about what I want to attract and how I can surround myself with community to build the connections I desire( editjat )

Going out for walks, and doing exercise. Doing anything to keep yourself occupied will help ease loneliness. Loneliness will strike most when you're alone and have nothing to do. Try to keep yourself occupied!

Feeling alone and loneliness do come from a sense of lacking in a person. But it seems people don't always realize where that lacking is coming from and the fact it is not always want of a companion. People do feel alone after loss and major life changes like illness. It's not necessarily a connection to just anyone, that people seek. For example: children who lose their families. They can be happy alone, and positive, But there is an internal loneliness of not having that (family) connection in the world. Or even the existential connection to the universe. There is a reason so many people have a connection to spirituality (aside using it for gain). When I want to connect, I enjoy: hiking, swimming, playing an instrument, working out, art/design, and hanging out with my dog

I'm alone .. today I got cancelled on 5 mins before we were supposed to meet .. all that loneliness hit at once and I cried .. then stopped.. then cried again . No one should be loney .. we don't cope not really it hurts to no we have this big world of people and the only thing that stops us feeling lonely is music.its not fair .( editjat )

You don't cope with it, you just get used to it.. If I had survived before anyone, I will obviously survive after that person as well.. But the goal is to make sure that person realize that you are better without them

I don't think there is anything that can wipe away one's loneliness (not that the OP suggested it), but, to dull the ache, I practice meditation, listen to audiobooks, have video calls with my friends and loved ones, and occasionally I'll go for a little extra delicious beer or a fine cocktail. Sometimes a well crafted drink can loosen some of the things up inside your heart that have felt stuck, or it can alter your mind and help you see some joys you forgot to count.

I used to loneliness since my teen-ager yes so I can deal with it ,ost of time I go to walk alone in the seashore, make some food. For homeless animals, I love dogs and cats , watching series,movies .

I cope with it by journaling and self seeking within myself of what could be changed within to want a positive change I'm my current status. Expressing and releasing what is no longer needed to make room for better and positive people, situations or what ever it may be you are now seeking in your next move in life.

Honestly, sometimes it's better to be alone. But that's my opinion. But the way I cope with the feeling is listening to music at night and spending time with friends and family in the day. The less your stuck in your head the better. I know, easier said than done. But it's still possible. 😁

Well, it's not loneliness anymore if you learn to enjoy your own company. I stay alone most of the time of the day, so I lift weights, cook dishes and sometimes binge watch stuff and listen to music.

idont want to rely with other people. when i feel lonely, i work out, go out and make myself busy. im on process of making myself comfortable with me being alone and do things that makes me happy.

I simply don't! Actually, I try to surround myself with great people. This, I think, would be my way to cope with loneliness. To people who feel lonely: you are enough. There are fantastic people out there: there are waiting for you. 😀
