Being clingy is not a good sign; it shows insecurity and that you are so afraid of losing that one person that it overtakes you. It makes you look incredibly fragile. The problem is, because we are all adults here, you can't be with that person every moment of every day. I promise you, people do get sick of each other and want time for themselves. Now, let me answer the second part. What makes a good friend? A good friend is a person who, no matter what time it is, where you are, or where they are, as long as you are both connected in some way, you will always have that one person. They will be your backing, your backup, the second sword you didn't know you needed watching your back. Yes, there may be a shield there, but it's always good to have a fellow warrior behind you, be they men or women. A good friend is also the one that you are most able to be fragile with (until your partner, then it's about 50/50). They can also be completely fragile and open with you as well. They are the person you can talk about anything to, your crazy ideas, inventions, or how you would make the future a better place. They'd probably call you a nut job for it, but it's all in good spirits. They are your main drinking brother-in-arms (if they're your male friend; female friends are also allowed to do this, of course, because gender stereotyping is ridiculously stupid). As a Norseman, I have seen many a woman who can handle her mead. They will be the main person that can make you laugh, make you cry, and make you look at them like they're the most alien person in the world, all in one conversation. Sometimes, a good friend is a friend you need because every Frodo needs a Sam, and every Sam needs their Frodo.

Depends on the friend. Some friends love the attention, others appreciate more space. A good friend generally is some dependable, supportive, honest and kind. Clingy does not make someone a good friend.

OK, let's look at the dictionary. Other words meaning clingy are, jealous, possessive, envious, controlling and domineering 😲 Doesn't sound good does it? I'm gonna presume you think you're clingy, sorry if I'm wrong 🙄 But, if you recognise that your being clingy you can work on it to make it better. Positive words that could mean clingy include devoted, affectionate, loyal, caring, supportive, faithful, and committed. If you describe yourself as clingy you're not doing yourself any favours. So many great relationships can fall at the first hurdle when a bit of jealousy creeps in. If you think a relationship is worth keeping you gotta work on it. Best of luck 🙂 By the way a good friend will tell you if they think you're being clingy. They love you and want you to have the best life 🙂
