The Devil's Carnival

My Spotify Discovery recommended "The Scorpion and the Frog" and I have been in love with that song as well as "In All My Dreams I Drown". I found out these were from the filmed musical The Devil's Carnival and I'm absolutely obsessed with fan theories/interpretations. "In All My Dreams I Drown" has been on repeat in my mind as I'm trying to deciper each verse and it's deeper meanings. If you've heard or seen this musical before, what's your thoughts on it? Bonus if you've just listened to the songs without context and gave me your honest opinion.
