Peahead Walker, born Glen Hardee Walker Jr., was an American football player and coach hailing from Mississippi. Born on September 8, 1903, in Gulfport, Mississippi, Walker achieved legendary status during his career as both a player and a coach. Although he played primarily as a lineman, his coaching prowess catapulted him to national recognition, particularly during his tenure as the head coach at Wake Forest University from 1937 to 1950. While he coached at Wake Forest, the university honored him by renaming the football stadium to Truist Field at Wake Forest in 2019, previously known as BB&T Field.
