I’m a type 5 and I do feel love. I can be detached, yes. But I’m a bit of a contradiction because I am still searching for what feels like is missing when I’m not in my analytical state of gathering information. Maybe it’s a self love that I’m missing. Okay this doesn’t answer the question… If anything, I think we are very intimate people, or at least we can be, because we generally stick to a close few people. The world outside of enneagram 5’s head is huge and they want to process it and learn and explore it. But getting outside and doing a lot is actually a huge challenge so having someone very close helps us to get out of our heads a bit. The constant desire to be independent makes intimacy hard to navigate but once it’s there it can be super strong. And the emotional part, we really just have trouble expressing those. For me as an INFJ it might seem INFJ

They don't feel less love, they just have a problem expressing it probably because they are afraid to get hurt. There's the answer. They ain't robots.
