The trick is to do group activities in the town you are in. It gives a starting topic for you to engage with other people. A connection usually starts with similar interests. Is there anything you like to do? Any kind of sport, yoga, games? Also, try not to rush things and its super important to let other people feel engaged and express their opinions. Its always a two, three or four way conversation. Sometimes extroverts have a tendency to loose track of time and take over conversations and it can be seen by some people as someone greedy. Not saying you are like that but a lot of my extrovert friends completely exhaust all my energy when they speak all the time!
