7Last time I checked, they weren't worth it. With all the stuff that they wouldn't pay for, or only in part, one would be better off just saving that amount, for the eventuality. Not sure how the conditions changed over the last 10 years since i checked, or if the conditions are notably different where you live... And having a "purebread" with possibly "breed-typical" health problems, may shift those numbers... but maybe you just picked an "unlucky" dog, when it comes to health. 🤷♂️ Idk. But 16k in 2 years seems excessive.
