I had one which I found as a caterpillar 3 years ago, managed to get her to live to be a beautiful moth! We tried our best to emulate temperature cycles with an electric cooler once she made her cocoon, before having her spend the winter safely in the shed. Not gonna lie, I was so emotional to see her take flight when I released her. For the record, we named her "Papi" ๐

I was walking my dog at night once and saw one of these beautiful creatures clinging to life in the street with a torn wing. I picked them up as gently as possible with some sticks and put them in the grass. Iโd never seen one like it so I sat with it in its final moments, I even talked to it and told it that things would be okay. I like to believe it understood me or at least felt that I was there to help because it crawled over to my leg and passed moments later. Ever since then I see all kinds of beautiful moths all around my apartment but not my neighbors. Nature is a wild thing
