Towards the end of shippuden, it had about 20 episodes of filler to 5 minutes of actual plot and I dropped it then. I liked the story, but you notice the decline around the mechanaruto episodes when they ran out of ideas and made up a new plot and said "it doesn't matter, they all died" at the end
