I'm currently trying to learn to color with alcohol markers, but I don't really know how I can improve 🥲 I got a basic marker set that came with some drawings to color in, so I'm currently praticing on those 😁 So far I've only done the skin of the first drawing, let me know if you have any advice on how to improve 🙏 (I haven't done highlights yet because the drawing needed to dry first)

Unless you go with a single hue (brown and yellow, gray and yellow), select colors that gives a well distributed hue histogram (blue and yellow for a 180° hue angle). One can pull off 90° and 120° hue angles for variation, but it is more risky. (edited)

One way you can add more dimension is to start with lighter colors to build up the vibrancy of the image. It is kind of hard to explain. Unless, you intend to lighten it with color pencils on top of the marker work. That can work as well. (edited)
