What is it like for those of you who have had crushes on real people?
Just occurred to me that I'm knocking on 30 and have never "liked" any living woman. Just ones found in fiction but I don't think it was substantial. What does it feel like and what should I be looking for in terms of this feeling?

I've had real difficulties recognizing I liked someone... I think the best description of the feelings more easily identified are the combination of admiration and the tendency to put a foot in my mouth (I think that's an expression?). I mean, fumbling with my words more than usually around them etc. All the while feeling strangely comfortable around them...
