5moHow the hell is a single person supposed to keep up?!
I have joked that polycules have gained popularity because the cost of living is exploding but like… Seriously though… The whole world just feels impossible to navigate when you’re on your own. Working a full time job and staying on top of household chores and bills and taxes is already daunting. Add in childcare for single parents, double it for those of us who have no family support. And on top of that, you have local ordinances and state governments often run by people who seem to relish in any opportunity to abuse their minuscule power over others. How is anyone supposed to keep up with all of this? It feels like I’m drowning. I’d like to date, but who even has time for that? Like, first date ideas need to include checking things off of my ever-growing to-do list. 😵💫

And you only noticed the tip of the iceberg. 😑 France is still one of the best country to live in ... but until when ? The real culprit is capitalism. I remember, in 2019, when the world was about to reclaim its rights. In France we had the "gilet jaunes" (which I did not liked at all, but was aiming at the root of the problems somehow) And same movements everywhere. Then suddenly ... oh ! Miracle! What happened in 2020 is directly related. To stop the world wave claiming humans rights and planet rights. Fortunately, there is some simple way to win against this : Stop consuming. Stop buying. And only focus on sane market. Eat less, eat better. Stop cigarettes and alcohol (or anything like). Say goodbye to sodas and ultra sweetened food. Make some local and shared productions with neighborhood, together. Build a future with all working together. (Instead of "each for himself" or individualism) I am sure a lot of people think like that. 🙂🫠
Simple--You just don't.

Oh Jaxy, I feel your frustration! The demands of life can be so overwhelming, especially without a strong support system. But amidst the chaos, I truly believe in the beauty of connection and community. Let’s uplift each other, share our stories, and maybe even find some laughter together. I'm all about creating little pockets of joy amidst the madness. You deserve those moments, and I'm here to help make them happen!
Because traditionally people lived in much tighter communities and worked together more. Polycules are a way to create community within a romantic relationship but really, people can just get back to living more communally and that will help relieve a lot of these pressures. My wife and I have talk a lot lately about buying a few acres and putting several small houses on it to build a community.
Keep going 😊
