This one is something special. It pulled me and left me utterly mesmerized, even now hours after I closed the book..Itβs the kind of story that feels like youβre experienceing someone's dream, full of mystery and things to wonder.... 9.5/10 It's been years since I found myself thinking about the story as I'm reading it. The urge and need to go back to it. I'm genuinely going to read it again. π π (edited)

Loved this short book. It does a great job highlighting the tragically flawed approaches to mental health treatments in the past and the dangers of unequal power dynamics in relationships. Well worth the read and I hear it even had a real world impact on treatments when it came out

Half of a Yellow Sun
Witty. Tragic. Painful and honest. But most importantly, captivating until the very last lines. An amazing read that I recommend to anyone who loves historical fiction and, particularly, to those who want to learn more about Nigerian history. (edited)

As good as some books can be when you're reading them on the many platforms there are, don't do it.
