Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality

Looking for other rational fiction readers, if any of you are around here :) If you've HPMoR, I'm particularly curious to hear your thoughts! Favorite character? Favorite change to the setting? For me it's the way the writer changed the houses to be more meaningful. Instead of House Good, House Evil, and two House NPCs, each one feels like it actually has virtues and vices, and the fact that characters ended up where their characters better "belonged" (Hermione to Ravenclaw, Neville to Hufflepuff) at the start made them each feel more meaningful. (For those that don't know what rational fiction is, it's a specific quality of stories written to explore stories in a more thoughtful way than most. Characters are shown engaging in honest pursuit of their goals, as well as consequences of their behaviour on the fictional world or the story's plot. In highly-rational fiction, realistic intellectual agency is put above established literary tropes, and all other aspects of the narrative. For HPMoR specifically, the fanfic is an alternate history where Petunia marries an Oxford professor instead of Vernon Dursely, and Harry is raised with an understanding of science that he brings with him to Hogwarts when he learns it exists.
