What's destiny?

This definition of destiny stayed with my soul since long. I always yearned to create something new, unique and different and never wanted to give in to the ropes of fate. When reading these lines and writing them, it felt I was meant to read them from the book ,"Forty rules of love". So wonderfully said. Something my parents and the society told me not to. Everyone always asked me to leave everything in the hands of fate and God ll take care of everything. This reminds me how untrue that is. God gave this life to us to design it with whatever we can. How have I lost sight of my inner voice for so many years?
