Welp, I probably posted about reading Carmilla too soon, because I just finished it about two hours later. Does anyone have recommendations for Dark Romance novels. Specifically Lesbian/Sapphic. It's a genre I'm tentatively interested in, and want to dip my toes into.

Have a look at Bitterthorn by Kat Dunn too.The story is a dark, seductive, sapphic Gothic romance. The slow burn is definitely slow burning. It leans into atmospheric Gothic fantasy and fairy-tale horror, think "the Beauty and the Beast". Also really appreciated this one ✨

Have you already read "Bury our bones in the midnight soil"? It isn't per se a dark romance, maybe more of a far fantasy. But I can guarantee you a traditional sapphic romance with yearning, with a bunch of queer vampire characters. That said, the main plot actually focuses on revenge, hunger, and trauma. It is a great book 😌
