You ever lose someone close to you from cancer?
My mom passed last night... don't know how to handle that, was by her bedside the past few days and in her final moments last night.. she had 5 tumors in her brain, there was no saving her from that... I held her hand the entire time, played her favorite music and just sat with her, eventually having to take her tubes out and we let God decide her fate... she died a few hours later breathing on her own but gasping for air, eventually it just sounded like deep breaths and snoring, this was her 3rd cancer battle and she faught as long as she could... We all spoke to her the whole time, i told her to let go, dont wake up to this... we will be okay... Doctors said they can't just end her suffering, it would be considered killing someone, so they had to let her go naturally... I miss her so very much... it's all too much 🥺😢😢😢😭

Yeah I feel for you - my mother died from leukaemia so at least it was pretty quick. I too was wanting her suffering to end. I know she’s in a better place now and she is with me whenever I need her as I can feel her influence. She will never really be gone, I’ve learnt that all the people I’ve lost in the past live on in our hearts and our collective memories - I’ve got a friend that does stuff in me and my mates memories that he didn’t do when he was alive! I know my mother didn’t want people to visit her near the end because that’s not how she wanted them to remember her. I know it hurts really bad right now, but try to remember them at their best and that’s how they’ll be forever.

Firstoff sorry about your mother ... Mine was my Father.. It really sucked cause it was during covid lockdown and he was afriad to go in at first when he didnt feel right... Alot of indirect deaths from covid... hard to say if it would have mattered of not... I still miss him...

Both of my grandparents on my dad's side of the family passed as a result of cancer. My grandpa died of lung cancer when I was only 4; and my grandmother died from pancreatic cancer when I was 15. I still remember the last time I saw my grandmother alive... She was very frail from her treatments; and the cancer itself... Hard to believe that will be 20 years ago this May. I'm very sorry for your loss. It's never easy to deal with. I hope you can find peace soon. Take care of yourself and those around you.
