Does it matter to you whether God is real or that Jesus was His Son?

As a lapsed-Catholic, I still believe that many of Christianity’s teachings about how to treat each other are valid. To me, it doesn’t matter if it’s based on a “lie” because the message is good. Would you stop living like a Christian if you knew with 100% certainty that God didn’t exist?
