For many women, they are limited by a biological clock they have to adhere to or else their end up motherless. Many hospitals deem 35+ as “high risk” and 40 “geriatric” bringing many serious complications when it comes to pregnancy. So I can’t speak for everyone, but for women who want to be mothers, they can’t sit around and waste their 20s or 30s waiting for something to happen - or else it’ll never happen. Hence why so many are choosing to freeze their eggs in their early 20s just In case they can’t find a man they actually want to be a parent with. Also, more than any generation before, women are choosing to use sperm donation / IVF just to make sure they get to be mothers without stress of a raisinga child with an uncommitted man. Women are feeling forced to do it alone, making dating a choice, not a necessity. Sad times!
