4Like when I read I'm reading that someone is looking for someone who doesn't lie, or cheat. Really is that where the bar is set? Tell me what you want for real. I literally already go into every situation in life assuming the person I'm interacting with isn't interested dealing with a liar, or a cheater. Kind of goes without saying. Also when I see moms saying my kids are my entire world! Who are you trying to convince? It's suspicious as hell. I've never looked at one picture on here and thought "Wow she looks like a terrible mom" she better clarify she's not in her bio or else I'm not interested lol. I know it's silly, but I see it like all the time. What are some of the things that you see in profiles that bother you? I could use the learning experience.

7People think they want to sound like a normal person in their bio. But they should really be focusing on what makes them different from everyone else. An apple is an apple; I can reach in and grab anyone at random and enjoy eating it, but you give me the choice between a Fuji and a pink lady and now I suddenly have inspiration to choose what I like best, and I will enjoy it so much more and be involved with it so much more.

4My biggest is empty or low effort profiles. The "ask me" "or I don't know what to write". How am I supposed to know if I'm interested if you don't actually write anything? I do tend to feel a bit when reading profiles that say no cheaters, liars, be faithful and loyal, stuff like that. It makes me feel like they have some unresolved resentment that might leak into our relationship. Or like they're already suspicious of me before we've even talked.

7Not something that drives me crazy but, what I find dense is when people have written they are using this app for friendship when in reality it’s finding someone to date. Why can’t people be honest about why they are using this app? I get what you mean about moms but Ive seen even dads on her say that. It’s a given that a child is one’s world and that a child always comes first - this is how it should be! 😆 I don’t have kids and it’s a non brainer even for someone who doesn’t have any to know such a basic thing as this hence why I don’t involve myself wiith people who have kids. 7Hm. Interesting. Never thought that intention there is convincing 😅 especially in love to own kids. Especially convincing random dudes on dating apps 😅 Now I’m worried. What I usually roll my eyes on when see in profiles… mostly empty profiles with notes like “ask to find out”, “I’m an open book”, etc. Should I be sending a questionnaire? Show some character, give some hint we have anything in common to talk about 🤌🤌🤌

5The ‘my kids are my world’ comments crack me up any time I see them, man or woman. I always think the same thing. It also comes across similarly to your first point. You absolutely should love your kids more than anything! That’s the default, you don’t need to clarify. (Or, again, it *should* be the default. There are plenty of uninvolved parents… And they’re usually the ones trying to convince strangers about what great parents they are. 🙃) The profiles with exclusively group photos get me. I get it, you have a rich social life! Excellent. It’s too bad I can’t tell which one you are because there’s not a single solo shot included anywhere. I also don’t need to see multiple pictures of your car, pet, or landscape as *profile* photos. I’m not looking to date a car, pet, or random earthly location. We can learn about that as we go. I’d like to see a human being! I’ve never once thought ‘man, that guy’s a loser but his cat is really cute so I’m going to reach out anyways’. 😂 (edited)

4Yeah I definitely understand what you mean. I had a cousin who was constantly worried his girlfriend was cheating on him only because he cheated so often on her. She was a good person though. It's like a thief always worried about being stolen from. Things should never start of tense. It should be easy going. We'll find out stuff we may or may not like about someone as we go along. Everyone should come with a clean slate.
