One of the most difficult things I've experienced in my short time on the fringes of the comic book industry is receiving rejections for projects you and your crew have poured your hearts into. The below image is a cover by my co-creator Minerva from our OGN Dog Witch, where I wrote the 66-page script, helped finance 10 finished pages to use for a pitch packet, and sent out submissions. We had to deal with two outright rejections and two ghostings. Of course, it helps build thicker skin, but not being able to find a home for characters we love and worked so hard on is tough to process.
