I was just thinking

Does anyone feel like they are just blending in? Like you don’t belong but somehow you fit. Like you were born too early or too late. Because I feel something but i feel like im not ready to understand.

Yes, in fact that's my life, friends talk, play, hang out to one another, but me? I'm always behind, always the last choice, always the last to be called out, I am there, but I am not, they talk about things I do not know anything about and all I have to do is listen, it feels like I'm filling a place that it seams I do not belong to...

I swear even with friends I've had for a long time it still feels like I don't belong with them. Being here, feels like I'm an NPC most days.

Yes, sometimes I feel that way. A good way to practice our individuality is to immerse ourselves in our hobbies and things we love to do. 🩵

That's kind of the point of cultural structures like religion and norms, in a way. Within a culture of any significant size, humans are neither alike nor unique, but a heterogenous mixture with some aspects closer to some groups than others. In order for large scale cultures to work, we need aligned understanding to interact with others. Norms provide signposts for us to say, "this is the correct way of behaving", which is why people may freak out when norms change and behavior previously disallowed (legally or socially) becomes allowed (even if not necessarily accepted). However, given the variety of experiences within a culture, there will always be aspects that do not fit well... things that are made to get you to conform to the group, and not your own inclinations (natural or learned). This tension can ultimately lead to creation of subcultures of similar inclination or, possibly, the changing of norms. Just my thoughts, YMMV.
