Human hubris of keeping Earth in statis.
Nature is change and evolution. The Earth was different 100 years ago, 1000 years ago, 10000 years, 100000 years ago, 1000000 years ago. The concept of "invasive species" and "climate change" are 100% human invented concepts and go against the natural order of change and evolution. Call it what it really is, forcing nature to human standards and keeping it from changing, but don't say you are trying to "save the planet." We have only been here for a blink of an eye in a cosmic sense. And nothing short of a planet cracking doomsday weapon is going to change that. (edited)

Reminds me of the song "Jars" by Chevelle. It mockingly congratulates ourselves for "saving the planet" by "conserving" things rather than preventing the destruction of it's natural environment to begin with. So for example: putting animals in zoos, plants in museums, rather than preventing deforestation, preventing poaching, and reducing pollution. It's actually a pretty old concept that Teddy Roosevelt dealt with. He was a "Conservationalist" who believed in creating pockets of habitats. Whereas the Preservationists sought to end human impact on the environment altogether.
