A question on cosplay

At some point I want to cosplay as a specific character I have some basic skills for sewing but nowhere intermediate. The design I want to create and make is Stella from winx club. But I have no idea where to start with it. I don't exactly want to buy one outright as I have the time to create one. If you have any tips let me know. I won't start till next month or later on. I think learn to sew first and buy a sewing machine, the rest is easy anyway. 🙃

First, measure your entire body, including bust point distance and inner leg length.

You'll need a Sewing machine and some fabric. Alternatively you could look for similar clothing in charity/thrift shops

Lol well first start with fabric that will match it if its a dress type outfit I would say start there its easy to do pants or leg stuff but if the top is to small and what not there's no point in still going so I say the bottom part to the up to the neck then do the rest

Thats very beginner friendly. Go to a thrift store and find something similar then cut it apart at the seams to make a pattern.
