Firstly, nice cosplay! Secondly, the reason could either be that they want to get "physical" and distance prevents that, or that perhaps they had bad experiences with being cheated on and don't want to risk it happening again. Long distance relationships can easily lead to a person cheating on their partner, since all they have is trust in their partner's morality to begin with.

From experience, it's never worth the effort. You get attached to someone that you'll never realistically meet and you end up disappointed or hurt. It's a fantasy and I'm more interested in reality

@Ayumichan bc meeting entertains an impossible fantasy. You end up either spending a lot of time and money on someone you have no chemistry with or you do have chemisty and you end up breaking your own heart since the distance is impossible to bridge. Not to mention most people can't afford to do much traveling these days

I think the obstacle that the distance creates, on top of the normal relationship challenges, is just too much. People want instant gratification. Now more than ever. They want something real. Something they can feel. That doesnt even necessarily mean physical touch. Even with all our technological advancements there is no replacement for being in the same space with someone and feeling the energy between the two of you. Nice cosplay BTW 😊. I still haven't made time to watch Chainsawman. Do you like it?

Done the long distance for over 2 years, met and spent time for weeks together, and in the end it became a desire to want to be together more and more. But being able to just get up and move is not the easiest for everyone and that is why it gets intimidating for many. Being friends is fine and all but some lose touch and connection as well.
