The Culture of Quitting

About a year and a half ago I quit my retail job. I wrote “My last day is ____” and my name on a piece of receipt tape and stuck it in the admin box. I didn’t tell people I quit that way until recently, when it was met with commendation. In America, it’s typical to give your employer 2 weeks notice. That’s what I did. Yet, we see so many people being laid off with little to no notice, especially in tech. It’s just amazing the double standard that exists here. Remember: You are not beholden to anyone! (And stick it to the man, if you can 😎)

The only downside to being an introvert imo is that you don’t know or have contact with plenty influential people (doctors, politicians, lawyers etc). My grandfather was a very extroverted lawyer (surprise) and he could pull any connection whenever necessary. I feel like I’m going to miss out lol

Some Life tips from my experience
