Some advice for the guys
We're all looking for something, and we're craving that special somebody to be with. I see a lot of folks struggling on here, and I'd like to share what I did that has helped me 100% 1. If you can't "date" yourself and enjoy your own time, don't expect others to. 2. Your character is your reputation, and being kind to others is easy and doesn't cost money. 3. DO NOT SETTLE!!! - you deserve a partner that loves you for you, not just for what you can provide. 4. I know it's tough because of how many attractive people are out there, but nobody wants a shell of a human being - if that hot person doesn't have a personality, then you're miles ahead in the game 5. I personally stopped "competing" in this game, and I've found peace and stability. Someone will come along and add to that eventually, but life is an adventure, and you've got to have fun and accept things in the moment. 6. Lastly, guys, you are smart, you are funny, you are kind and caring, and I truly believe that as long as you can make yourself happy, you will attract the right kind of people β€οΈ

Yep. And where I work, you will encounter situations where you see people on their last breath(depends if you are on shift or not). And then the next day you see a room empty. Like a void. That surreal feeling surging inside, knowing a nice person you used to know is now gone. (I know it's grim but yeah each time one encounter that scenario it's the same feeling one get) It really changes your perspective in life. Basically, Live life in the present and enjoy the adventure as much as you can. No room for drama, ego, etc.

Yes. Whats funny is I didn't actually start meeting the right people until I was disabled. Funny how material things attract shallow people, but those who are empathetic and considerate don't care how much you have. If you can find someone who will love you at your lowest, you will have struck gold!

Well said. After all, where every you go & whatever you do, you are there & have to deal with yourself. Being content in all things & happy with who you are is important. After getting out of an 18yr marriage that basically reshaped my identity, I found myself not really knowing who I am now. It made writing a bio difficult. I decided to take a break & figure out who I am now & who I want to be going forward. Core things like the value of my word will never change as your word is who you are, you must never break it or that makes you a pos. Honesty is always the best policy, even if it may hurt in the moment, lying always does more damage. Great post!
