To my tall chicas out there: have you ever been rejected by a dude and the reason was that you’re too tall?
To my dudes: how do you feel about a woman being your height or taller? (Or like she’s shorter unless she wears heels and then she’s “too tall”).
Just genuinely curious - I didn’t realize being a “tall” woman would put some dudes off until I recently joined the online dating pool (fyi, I’m 5’8” and with most heeled shoes I’m closer to 5’11”-6’). It was something I never really thought about previously and was surprised about - for a lot of guys this seems to be a dealbreaker. 
I know as a woman it can feel a little awkward when a male date is significantly shorter than me, is it the same feeling for guys when a girl is much taller? What about if she’s only a little taller or the same exact height?

You are rationalizing a personal bias and are trying to question that same bias in situations as it pertains to you.

But personally I dont care about hieght nor do I feel akward dating someone taller.

Totally not a deal breaker for me. I do a quick look at the face and then I'm more worried about their personality and what not. I read bios on here so much more than looking at their pictures and other physical characteristics.

I've never cared about a potential partner's height. She could be shorter than me, taller than me, or the same height as me, and it wouldn't be something I'd think about. I'm sure there are guys who care about height, but to me the more important things I look out for are things like personality, effort, good communication, and having common interests, values, and relationship intentions.

In my experience: Women that are unusually tall are like women who have unusual amounts of their own financial resources.

The ones who say that struggle with men being put off are almost always leaving out the fact that they throw said matters in men's faces out of some toxic superiority complex and then wonder why those same men stop calling/texting/etc.

Generally speaking: If you have a good, pleasant head on your shoulders, we don't particularly care about how high up it is or what's in you purse.

Depends on personal preference. Personally I don't care as long as the difference doesnt cause an inconvenience. I think it started with the trope of women preferring taller guys. Resulting in many men thinking women shorter than them found them more desirable. People generally want to be with people who also want them, thus came the preference for men preferring women shorter than them. Or vice versa, really a chicken or egg argument there. Either way, the preference in height has become a societal norm in which men and women in differing height groups have an advantage or disadvantage depending on the situation, barring the extreme cases in either direction.

I'm 5'5 as a short man  who's always shorter , women naturally being taller doesn't make me self conscious.  I would say it bugs more more when she's shorter and the heels raise her above me. Not out pride but it is bit akward when you're not used to it. But if the woman is already tall expectations are set, I would never say no to tall women. My ex was the same height as me. She rarely wore heels because she was already tall and flats are more comfortable. If she did wear heels, it didn't suddenly change the dynamic of our relationship. After we broke up, I started learning that people have all sorts of insecurities.

I have a different perspective. Personally, I love tall women. I am a short guy (5’8”) and coming from a country where the average height of guys and girls are less than me. I have faced situations where the already tall women love even much taller guys. And they don’t even know the existence of short guys. And going by be your experience, guys getting intimidated by your height seems weird. Could be the same case as those weird tall women who are turned off by men shorter than them. People have unrealistic expectations. Sometimes men do, and quite a lot of times, women do.

Tbh my last partner was a similar height and it was awesome. Being only slightly taller when she was in heels was a fun dynamic and saved me bending down as much when we were out. If your man is shorter he might care but honestly it shouldn't really matter.

Guy here, I really don't care about height that much. I have seen couples with a large height discrepancy, but it never seemed awkward.

If someone has an issue with it (not a preference, but an issue) then that is some serious insecurity and might need therapy. I am not giving it a red flag, but if someone grew up abused and is terrified of being close to anyone taller, then they really need therapy. And there is a red flag version of this as well, in which someone only dates people they can physically dominate, massive red flag.

If women can say they want someone over 6' then I should be able to say I want someone 5'6 or less
