I have just changed my settings to only have friendship matches from women. I said that I was OPEN to dating, but the number of men this week--today in particular, has caused me to reach my threshold of tolerance. If you are a decent man who respects women, that's unfortunate....
....because these men that use the Internet as a platform to harass, degrade, put down, insult, approach s*xually inappropriately, etc. ruin it for the decent men. I have received THOUSANDS of online messages from men over the last 6-7 years, and the insults are almost all the same: 1. The men use some version of "That's why you're single" or "No wonder you don't have a man," and/or 2. Some version of "You're not that hot" or "You're not all that anyway." It is as if men all attend a special school to learn how to insult a woman. Why are the insults almost the EXACT same no matter who the man is?? The only difference is the insult is coming from a different face. I've had 2 men personally attack me in a chat thread today about my profile being the reason why men choose to stay single and another man telling me I'm not attractive and to stop flattering myself. The chat thread they messaged me on had NOTHING to do with my bio or physical appearance, but a totally unrelated topic. These men read my bio, and decided to go out of their way to insult me on an open chat forum. Insults from men happen often online. I'm over it. 🤷♀️. I also don't understand why men think it's an insult to tell me I'm single. I love being single. I'm not desperately seeking a man. I love my freedom. I love being able to do what I want, when I want, come and go as I please without answering to anyone else. The more men attack me, the more they are making me want to remain single. But hey, many of you claim no man wants to date me anyway because of my supposed attitude and red flags, right? So, if none of the men want me, and I don't want them, then nobody should be upset. It's a win-win for both sides. 👍 (edited)
