Before I get crucified by people for my comment…I know men can be problematic also…and don’t lecture people before you’ve walked a mile in their shoes. Here’s my advice: Hopefully, he has a good lawyer. Next, if the relationship is even slightly serious, therapy for you and your partner. You might need to process and debrief the things that happen together with help. Consume rsources by qualified professionals on blended relationships/families, high-conflict divorce, and maybe even things like personality disorders. Might seem like a lot; but if the ex is problematic, I’d say you’re just seeing the surface of what they’re capable of. Biggest this is to not react to provocations. Or just don’t invest in guys like this. You don’t want to break their hearts even more on top of the drama they’ve already faced; if you realize that it’s too much for you. (edited)
