Is there beauty to be found in death?

Death is not the end but a transition and I find the transition part particularly beautiful. Of course I don't care for untimely death but when the end of the story arrives it doesn't always mean an unhappy end.

Even though we're hard wired to fear death, we may also be hard wired to want a death. I think most people would think that living indefinitely sounds hellish

The transition is what I fear. I just want to feel perfectly fine, then boom, I'm on the other side. Rotting in a nursing home with dementia doesn't sound fun.

On the notion of death, the peom "Do not weep for me" always comes to mind. I believe the beaury that you speak of can be find in the celebration of one's life and how they have enriched others. It is a time of reflection to recognize our own impact on the lives of others and how to achieve that "good death" I believe someone else mentioned.
