Question

Half full or half empty? And why? I personally will always say half full because I describe how much liquid that I want that’s left, compared to what’s not left.

Neither. I say that the cup has 50% of its fluid remaining. I don't really tie or factor emotions into it.

Are we being literal about a cup? Or the symbolism of the cup. Because Ive been kinds confused about that.  The narrative suggests that positive thinking is attached to being full, and negative is attached to being empty. What if it was something hard to endure? Would you look at it as almost there (half empty) Or im never going to be done with it (half full)?

Or ... never have a half way cup, my cup is usually full or gone lol. I chug my water.

If I am filling it, "Half full", if I am emptying it, "Half empty", if I find it, it's simply half a glass/container/bottle.

How often do I say "half a glass" nearly always.

I makes me wonder if the whole add age about the mindset is entirely figurative, or if some people actually do the whole half full/more on cups that are not in the process of filling or emptying, as even still most of that time I would say half a glass, or if there are some who might literally change how they say it and change their mindset as is often implied.

I don't understand how Anyone can speak so literally of it, I think, the reality is, it's just a theoretical, and not the actuality every claims it's taugt to us as proven.. but also I never cared to check to see since the rise of the Internet, so many .ore inrerating concepts were of value to discover, perhaps now it's time I deep dive this.

Thinking about it id say half full because I'd be more likely to describe what's there then what's not.

So it's about what implication is being communicated, when you say half full it has the underlying message of beginning or the purpose is to add to what is already contained.

Whereas when you say half empty it is usually said with the intention of ascertaining how much is left to use or consume.
