I feel like I struggle to make real connections with people. I feel entirely expendable, like one day everyone is just going to walk out at their own pace. I live in one of the busiest cities and am constantly surrounded by others but I always feel like it's only just me.

Honestly when it still hits me I find ways to generate the appropriate chemicals that don't necessarily require interaction. Coming to terms that most relationships in your life are temporary and building out the ones that do consistently add value to both parties is the best foundation. Finding people that will have that connection is complex and difficult, but find communities and hobbies that not only share your initial interest, but have a similar culture to which you will bond. You'll be more likely to find deeper connections, more meaningful circles of people, and be more apt to continue attending the activities.
