Party size for DM's

Question

What is your ideal party size when it comes to exploring dungeons? For me is 3 to 4 members

Me too, 3-4 is perfect. 2 is boring and non-balanced, 5 and more is too chaotic :)

4 is my magic number if I'm by myself. If I have a good DMA with me then 8 is perfect. I haven't tried more than 8. Less than 2 is fine if they both want to run 2 characters a piece.

I prefer at least 4 players but no more than 7. Any more than 7 and combat bogs down way too much in encounters and people get bored waiting 20-30 minutes for their next turn. That and when the party decides to split (and they will with more players) makes DMing even more difficult because now you have to bounce back and forth between 2 separate groups doing 2 completely different things

Yeah 3 is my minimum I won't start a game with less than that, but I can handle up to 8 players if they are respectful 6 if they are not.

I like 4 to 6 for dungenerring. If its more i tend to run less dungeons. If its 2 or 3 i usualy have npc's helping out.
