10moLooking for some ENTJ personality insights
Writing is one reason why I got into MBTi. It's a simple method to keep character personalities consistent. Now I'm writing a dark romance semi-fantasy semi-historical novel and one of the main characters is supposed to be an ENTJ. A sort of INTJ (I have multiple INTJ family members), but kind of extroverted? So naturally an ENTJ, but it appears I fail to remember anyone I knew who seemed ENTJ-ish to me. Obviously there are plenty of writing advice about ENTJs in the internet, but they seem extremely stereotypical (seriously, I found such bs about female INTPs...). So I'm asking actual ENTJs and ENTJ's family and close friends for advice. The character in question is a 37yo male. He's depressed (triple widower, none is his fault), a royal torturer by trade (he's not into his job, but he finds himself capable of doing it properly, so he never questioned it - it's a hereditary position). He has a side job of being an alchemist/pharmacist dealing with... more potent stuff. Both jobs give him a very high social status and access to money. It's worth to note he has 4 fellow torturers, but they all respect him - even the king. He's a decent person (not an evil overlord -_-', not all *NT*s are), but dark. What are ENTJs quirks? What are signs of a depressed ENTJ? I've written him engaging with pr*stitutes on regular basis, is this accurate? (Tetriary Se) Would he be violent? (I made him rather calm and not seeking violence bc of his job being full of it) Any random suggestions? (edited)
