What's your way of countering capitalism?

Or consumerism. And it doesn't have to be big. For example, I re-use my takeout containers, compost, make a lot of what I want, and try to mend my clothes (not very often though.) I'm still someone who like to buy stuff, like kitchen gadgets and notebooks, but I think it's important to reduce what we can, even when companies are ramping up consumption and arguably individual efforts to counter climate change are negligible. And part 2 of the question: what do you want to do about it (as an individual)? Like me, I want to own some land so that I can expand on gardening and crafting/constructing.
