Something I wrote a while back

I am legit writing this from my notes app cause I don't normally post but I want someone's opinion. My first college class was public speaking and my professor put papers up around the room that said strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, etc. She would give statements to react to like whether chocolate was the best ice cream flavor but the questions slowly started to get more and more critical. These would include Trans rights regarding sports, gay marriage, etc and she finally asked if we believed that abortion should be legal. I was the only one who stood at neutral. Immediately I was accused of not making a choice. I told them this was my choice and my professor asked me to elaborate but after I started, she shut me down. That us why I want to do this. If someone asked me if I am pro woman or pro choice I have a different view. I am SO sick of politicians being so black and white to gain favor of a specific party. Let me ask something? How to we LEGALLY deal with disagreements in the US? We go to court. How do we handle child custody battles? We go to court and the parents explain why they think they should have the child. Why cant we do this with abortions? Have a JURY not a judge cause that black and white belief can still cause bias. Allow the potential mother (and family if a minor) prove why they think it is necessary (only is the GIRL want the abortion and nit just the family cause thats a thing). If it is proven that the mother will die or be extremely injured, if the individual was raped or molested, or similar situations, an abortion may be best. If an and individual simply "made a mistake" or isn't ready to be a mother, that is different. I'm not saying that is always the case. If they willingly did the act and knew what it entailed AND did not take steps to avoid pregnancy altogether when they were available, then I don't think an abortion should be allowed. If a jury doesn't think so, I believe the mother should have resources. If money is a problem, I know people that could help even near me and many wealthy people probably would too. If it's lack of knowledge of parenting have a COMMITTEE of moms people. Like have mothers who can answer question and can really comfort because they know how it feels. If they simply aren't capable of being a mother... IF ALL THE CHURCHES ARE GONNA SAY DONT KILL BABIES, GIVE THEM THE BABIES THAT WOULD BE KILLED. There is so much more to this than whether or not we kill babies. Also BANNING ABORTIONS DONT END ALL ABORTIONS. IT ENDS SAFE ABORTIONS. People, including my own family, have had in home abortions for centuries. It's dangerous for a mother but sometimes they think it's their only choice. Anyways, I just wanted to get this off my chest and hopefully make a new option. At the time I am writing this I will have been 18 for literally two days and I know there are experts on this.
