Lately so many people are posting about being "lonely" and needing someone to talk to.... Like anybody... And it's so hard for me to try and understand. I have been years alone.... completely fine... But sometimes someone comes along whom I want to talk to, spend time with, share my day with... But it's only that person that I want to share my vulnerability with... it's not just anyone and everyone.. but just him... or her... Sure I post memes and sometimes my thoughts, maybe for validation I don't know... or maybe just for a bit of time pass or to put a piece of my mind out there... but eventually I don't go to sleep thinking I am alone. Despite the fact that my mind and life is constantly in chaos I feel am quite content. What are your thoughts? Why do you think you feel lonely? (edited)

Well said. Some people rely on others. Some people do not. Just as it's important to love yourself, it's also important to enjoy yourself, be your own best friend, take care of yourself. Seems weird that so many people don't practice that self love and just lean so heavily on finding someone else to do it (edited)

Sometime I feel lonely if i really feel exhausted, I need to laying down and cuddle with my partner, but never found that, so, i just take my dream and keep moving while looking for, never hopeless but never be expected, just let it flow ..we never know

I don't post about it, but yes I do feel that way. Even right now.. But it's dormant. The feeling comes and goes. And for me, I think the feel comes from the experience of having the feeling of contentment and then losing it. But my body remembers, and when it hits is like I'm being grabbed. I'm explained to people b4 about how emotions/feelings are physical not mental, and so it takes an action to affect it. It's not about sex or anything but jus touch, a feeling of comfort and security that both men and women need. To have a safe space when being alone makes u feel like sniper is targeting u, so u feel like Ur in danger. I'm not sure I'm still making any sense, but I am glad that it's not a feeling I have all the time and I'm able to recognize it, and control enough not to make irrational decisions becuz of it. But I do wonder if you've had a serious enough relationship to where it really hurt when it was over or have u been safe so far?

Yeah, I've had no regular socialization since April of 2020, and I was totally fine! Until my asocial battery ran out, because I guess that that's a thing. My limit seems to be about 3½ years, then I start wondering where people are.
