If I consider them a good friend then it would depend, because depending on their tone, they might just be teasing me. But if they genuinely are criticizing me, then I'd confront the issue head-on and talk to them about it. Whether or not we remain friends after that depends on how they react to direct communication about something that made me uncomfortable.
