What a beautiful life it turned out to be

Despite over 30 years of suffering, I finally have reached the light at the end of my tunnel. I have a wonderful best friend and am auntie to the cutest, sweetest, smartest 8 year old I've ever met. The people who hurt me didn't win in the end because I'm finally healing, I gained the independence I've always craved, and Im tackling massive health issues like a boss. I'm holding down my first full time job, my selfcare game is top tier, and I'm even clean and sober now facing the PTSD head on. I lost my faith in humanity but then I got it back when I met my best friend. I still do my art and I'm writing my 4th and 5th book for publishing in between my full time job and full time AA program. I honestly don't know how I do it some days. But sometimes I just look around and I smile and my heart fills with pride. Sometimes I look up to the sky and just say thank you Goddess, thank you. Because in those moments the way my heart swells makes me feel like I'm flying.
