My favorite way to cope with the modern games industry

Go back and play old games that I saw on YouTube a lot when I was a kid: Far Cry 3 Dishonored Portal 1 & 2 Black Mesa (Half-Life) Halo 2, 3, ODST, Reach etc. Kind of helps to be into story-based singleplayer games in what is seemingly this time of creative bankruptcy. There a lot of good indie things happening right now, and I hope for nothing but the best for those devs and communities. I just cannot help but feel like the camaraderie and innocence of the games industry from say, the Halo 2 era, has been absent for quite some time. I hope it returns.

Or lack of creativity spawned by greed... The games with the least amount of creativity are the most profitable. People stuck playing these grinding money sinks with no story, no value, no unique gameplay, copy pasta garbage to make micro transaction money. Being a gamer today is whipping out your wallet and buying cosmetics. I'm over here spending lots of time playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. GAMMA. Cause it's hella fun. Oh and lots of Clone Hero too.. (edited)
