I've recently started playing SW:TFU and all was going well until I encountered that mad mecha rat (Kazdan Paratus). Let me tell you the difficulty of that particular boss felt incredibly out of place to me. (You could say it wasn't that much of a surprise because you were told you likely wouldn't survive but ehh.) I'm not asking for intended surprises, I guess, like when you delete your safe file in Undertale but Flowey remembers, but rather subtly strange peculiarities.

3One that stands out to me in particular is a unique enemy encounter called "The hunger" in a jrpg survival horror game called "look outside". I was fighting it when I suddenly noticed that one of my party members had a status icon pop up that was the sprite for a tomato sandwich. This happened on 2 seperate occasions, and both times it was on roaches (the party wizard). This has not been listed on the game's wiki either last time I checked. I also have no clue what that does since I defeated the enemy fairly quickly.
