Pardon the brutality below, I'm trying to be as blunt as possible after looking over your profile. Nothing is meant personally or intended to hurt feelings. Not knowing how to cook is always a big red flag, especially at your age. You don't need to be a chef by any means, but having at least some basic skill and one or two things you are good at cooking is the bare minimum. Saying you make inappropriate jokes but want someone to put up with it instead of working on not making them is another big red flag. You profile reads like the gay version of those guys who just want a wife to take care of them and do everything for them. All the hobbies you mention (anime,manga,sci-fi,horror,video games) are heavily escapist. Paired with everything else, that generally looks like you spend most of your time distracting yourself from any bad traits and how you feel about them, and very little to none actually improving the problem areas you recognize in yourself. I participate in all those hobbies as well just so you know I'm not biased that way. A little escapism is good for the mind, but too much of a good thing and all that. This last one is probably just me, but white guys who say they are bhuddist usually haven't researched anything and are just looking for a formalized system of emotional repression and self denial. I put them in the same league as guys who idolize stoic philosophy/philosophers with zero critical analysis. And lastly your photos need major work. Wear something nice that shows off your personality or style, do something with your hair and find good lighting. You're a good looking guy but your current pics are super unflattering and don't really communicate anything about you. It's not all negative though. Your art is great, it's cool that video games are not only your hobby but were your job. Working in any industry for 20 years shows commitment. As someone who is child free I actually really appreciate the detail that your kid is in college. Because that would factor in for someone like me who doesn't want to be a parent. Overall I hope this helps rather than hurts and good luck finding mr.right.

Focus on what you like about yourself! 💛 If you do, it will shine through for others to see. Let's face it we all have flaws, it's what being human is, but also to learn and to grow. There's plenty of ways you can learn to accept and to love yourself. I believe dating apps are slim for anyone to find true love, it happens, but everyone has better chances outside irl.
